The Pantone Institute, the company that brings together the most recognized and used color catalog in the world, publishes each year, in December, the flagship tone that will accompany design, decoration and fashion trends for the next 365 days.
And it is that the Pantone color palette is applied daily in the graphic, multimedia, artistic, architectural, interior design, clothing industry and in categories as surprising as confectionery and gastronomy.

And what was the color chosen for 2023?
Welcome to VIVA MAGENTA.
A tone inspired by nature and produced by small insects called mealybugs, which, unlike the colors selected for 2022 (grey and bright yellow), is vibrant, luminous and very striking, full of energy and vigour.
In the words of its promoters, VIVA MAGENTA is “a nuanced shade of crimson; an unconventional shade for an unconventional age.”
What can you expect from a crimson color for use in furniture and interior design?
Break in and awaken emotions. A color from the red family has a significant charge associated with passion and strength. Applied to the upholstery of a piece of furniture or as paint details on pieces of metal and wood, it gives warmth to the decoration and breaks with the conventional tonality of a static space.
